What is this site about?
A. The domain used to belong to a specific Bail Bonds agency
in Maryland of which we designed the site. Over time the host and
domain were allowed to expire, but we thought it was too popular
to lay waste so we took it over (May 2004) and decided to
make it a popular database for other Bail Bond Agencies and/or Bounty
Hunters.

How is the forum related to this site?
A. The forum
acts as a hub for our many sites. Topics include the USA, war, politics,
paranormal activity, crime, the law, etc. Discussion is at a more
mature level and it is highly moderated, you can only benefit by
joining, especially since it is free.

1. A bounty
hunter is an individual who seeks out fugitives for a monetary
reward. It is legal in the United States thanks to the 1872 U.S.
Supreme Court case (Taylor v. Taintor) which established that the
person to whom a person accused of a crime is remanded into the
custody of as part of his bail has sweeping rights to recover that
person. Thus most bounty hunters are in the employ of a bail bondsman.

| QUOTE | Charleston City Police have arrested a man suspected of robbing the Federal Credit Union on Folly Road.
Police say 41-year-old Carl Lee Mikell gave the teller a note demanding money that was written on the back of his cell phone bill!
Mikell is charged with entering a financial institution with the intent to steal. Police say he walked into the James Island bank around 9:30am Thursday and poured a flammable liquid on the carpet.
Mikell is being held in the Charleston County Detention Center and is scheduled to have a bond hearing at 2pm Friday.
