This may be a bit off the normal idea of things but this reinforces my feeling that souls are reincarnated. It almost seems to me like he was wired from the beginning to act in this way. The fact that he showed an unnatural affinity towards guns and such things, to me, says he was already predisposed to such things. Hearing voices and such are another sign that he was sensitive to the other side.
I realize it sounds crazy, but I think this child was a murderer in a past life and was sensitive to certain aspects of reality that most are not. This leading him to follow in his previous footsteps. I feel this way about most cold blooded killers like this.
I don't see how this boy, or now man probably, can be reintroduced into society. To let him free among the population would be letting a ticking time bomb to walk among us. Once he has chosen to go down that path, in my opinion, there is no way back.
