They say people who commit suicide think about it a lot and don't kill themselves over one thing. Eventually a "straw breaks the camels back", they feel they have no other option and commit to the act.
I do put some of the blame for this one on the parents. It sounds like the kid was not very popular and the internet was his only real connection with anyone. He was looking for help I think by saying he was going to kill himself. I just think if it was my son I would have seen the warning signs sooner and taken more of an interest in his life. You know, take him fishing or throw a ball around with him, something to that effect.
Yes, they went squirrel hunting and maybe a few other things. To me it sounds like he was really, really lonely and misunderstood. Which for a young person like that, it is very hard to deal with.
Granted, I am not in any way saying that it is ok to kill some one because of that but, I wonder if it was dealt with differently by the father the outcome may have been better for all. He is obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed, he just needed some guidance and Love I think.
